O'NEILL BALLITO PRO '24

THE BRIEF

The 2024 campaign, themed ‘This is the Battlefield,’ drew inspiration from Zululand and the legacy of Zulu warriors, reflecting strength, skill, and the spirit of competition. I was tasked with bringing this theme to life through the brand identity, campaign posters, and merchandise, ensuring a cohesive and striking visual experience across all touchpoints.

THE SOLUTION

Through research, I discovered that carvings on Zulu shields held significant cultural meaning in the traditions of Zulu warriors and battles. I focused on this as the central concept, weaving it subtly throughout the campaign to nod to the theme. This approach inspired a sub-theme centered on Zulu artwork, which was integrated across the event’s identity, posters, and

merchandise.
